FAQ

Am I required to have identification with me?

In accordance with the FAA and TSA, all passengers are required to have a government issued identification to be presented upon check-in. Driver's license or passports are preferred forms. Without such identification, passenger(s) may not be entitled to join the tour and may be charged the full tour fare.

Now that I have my reservation, what do I do?

Grand Canyon Today uses a variety of Tour Operators to provide a number of quality tours at a discounted rate. Upon confirming your reservation, you will be provided with information about the Tour Operator that will be conducting your tour and general information about the tour. Most combination tours require two or more operators. In this event, you will be provided each Tour Operators contact information. You are responsible to reconfirm your tour with the Tour Operator twenty four (24) hours prior to the departure time/date of your tour. Failure to do so may result in the unfortunate cancellation of your tour since many tours are conducted on a participation and confirmed seat basis.

How should I prepare for my tour?

Be informed! Always check the weather, traffic conditions and general information before embarking on travel of any kind. The Southwest is a beautiful and interesting place to visit, but the environment can be brutal if a person is not prepared for harsh conditions. There are many resources available to you once you arrive, but it is always best to prepare before you arrive. We want you to enjoy your time in Las Vegas and have fun on your tour. The best way to enjoy any vacation is to be prepared.

Will I be on the ATV, Airplane or Helicopter I saw in the advertisement?

Tour operators may own and operate several variations of advertised equipment. Most operators are consistent with the use of their equipment as advertised. However, no guarantee is made as to the exact model or series of aircraft, motor coach, hot air balloon, ATV, helicopter, Hummer/Jeep or other tour equipment that may be utilized by the tour operator(s) unless specifically stated. Due to acts of nature, mechanical failure or events beyond their control, Tour Operators may be forced to substitute equipment. In no way should such an event imply that the Tour Operator nor the Reservation Company has an obligation to refund any or all of the tour fare.

What if the tour runs late?

Every effort is made to ensure pick up times, departure times, event schedules and itineraries are adhered to. However, please be advised that should delays beyond the Tour Operators control occur, no refunds will be issued if the tour commences. Some Tour Operators may accommodate passengers by rescheduling if possible or offering an alternate tour of equal or better value. Additionally, it is advised that the passenger not plan for events on the same day as they engage in tour travel that commences after 2:00 p.m. as scheduling conflicts could arise. Please be advised that neither the Tour Operator nor the Reservation Company are responsible for the cost of missed shows, performances or airline reservations.

What happens if the tour is cancelled?

Tour Operators reserve the right to cancel, modify, alter or extend any tour(s) as may be necessary for safety and operational considerations. Every attempt will be made to conduct the tour as close to the advertised information as possible. However, should inclement weather, acts of God or nature, mechanical failure or any other means beyond their control occur, Tour Operators reserve the right to make any necessary decision to ensure safety of their passengers and equipment. In the unlikely event of such a cancellation, a refund will be issued in accordance with the Tour Operators policies.

How and when will I receive a refund?

Refund policies vary amongst the Tour Operators. The most common policy is that no cash refunds are made on the spot for security purposes. Credit card refunds may be processed the same day of the refund and only to the card that was presented at time of check-in.

What if I decide to cancel my tour?

Cancellations must be called in and receive a confirmation no less than forty-eight (48) hours prior to tour departure time. All reservations made in less than the forty-eight (48) hour window are non-refundable. Some Tour Operators allow a reservation change fee on tours reserved within the forty-eight (48) hour window, please check with us or the Tour Operator for details. All "No-Shows" will be charged the standard tour fare as charged and advertised by the Tour Operator. This is a non-refundable charge.
